Pastor Tim Whitehead comes to Goshen Community Church with an extensive background in Christian Education and Pastoral Ministry. He served on faculty at Seattle Christian School for 24 years, having chaired the Department of Biblical Studies, and pastored/co-pastored five churches, in addition to serving as the Interim Pastor at two others.

Tim’s emphasis is Spiritual Formation through verse-by-verse exposition of Scripture, plus periodic Topical Series.

Tim is a graduate of California State University (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), and Corban University (D.Min.)

A veteran of two military branches (U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Army), Tim is also an avid reader. He loves the Seahawks and Mariners, having coached his own sons baseball teams from T-ball up through high school.

The light of Tim’s life and his pillar of support is Deborah, his precious wife of 55 years, who leads the women’s ministries.

Having grown up together in the same Southern California church, Tim and Deborah were high school sweethearts who married prior to Tim’s first military service.

The Whiteheads have three adult children and seven grandchildren.
